Diane Segard est une artiste dont le travail protéiforme s’articule autour de la création de scénarios dystopiques. Formée à l’École nationale supérieure des Beaux-Arts de Paris au sein de l’atelier Stéphane Calais, puis à The Cooper Union à New York, son parcours entre deux capitales artistiques majeures a affûté à la fois son propos et son esthétisme.
Sculptées par un humour à la fois rond et cynique, ses formes aux abords ludiques et parfois enfantins, constituent le vivier d’un discours critique porté par une distance singulière.
Les résines, le silicone et d’autres liquides synthétiques deviennent le berceau de formes quasi extraterrestres, composant un univers organique où se bousculent dilemmes bioéthiques et conditionnement du corps humain.
En mai 2025, elle rejoint le collectif d’artistes Non-étoile à Saint-Ouen, espace de création partagé au sein duquel elle développe de nouveaux projets sculpturaux. Son travail a récemment été présenté lors d’expositions collectives à Alo Galerie (Paris) ainsi qu’à la Biennale de Paname (Saint-Ouen). En février 2026 elle a présenté son premier solo show à Alo Galerie (Paris).
Diane Segard is an artist whose protean practice explores the construction of dystopian scenarios. Trained at the École nationale supérieure des Beaux-Arts in Paris in Stéphane Calais’s studio, and later at The Cooper Union in New York, her trajectory between two major art capitals has sharpened both her conceptual approach and her aesthetic language.
Infused with a humor that is at once disarming and cynical, her playful and at times almost childlike forms become the site of a critical discourse shaped by a distinctive sense of distance.
Resins, silicone, and other synthetic liquids become the matrix for quasi-extraterrestrial forms, composing an organic universe where bioethical tensions and the normalization of the human body collide.
In May 2025, she joined the Non-étoile artist collective in Saint-Ouen, a shared workspace in which she continues to develop new sculptural projects. Her work has recently been presented in group exhibitions at Alo Galerie (Paris) and at the Biennale de Paname (Saint-Ouen). In February 2026, she presented her first solo exhibition at Alo Galerie (Paris).
